Happy Cinco de Mayo! Did you know (or “Sabia Usted?” in Spanish) that there’s a common misconception in the United States that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico’s Independence Day? Independence Day in Mexico is actually on September 16th.
The village of Carol Stream, Illinois is named after developer Jay Stream’s daughter. It may be the only community in America which took its name from the first and last names of a living person. Carol Stream is located about almost 31 miles west of downtown Chicago.
