After two-and-a-half years…

and 492 posts, DaBlog O.L. is ending its run. The reason why:

  • a lack of interest
  • YouTube Tuesday’s on hiatus since last year (thanks to the guy – who’ll remain nameless - that my uncle knows. The computer was fixed by him but there’s no sound card in the hard drive)
  • Facebooking and Twitter-ing
  • low viewership

This is not a good-bye. Although this blog is ending, I’m NOT going anywhere. I’ll still visit your blogs. Thank you so much for visiting and supporting this blog.

Catch ya later. God Bless.

Can’t believe it…

I can’t believe Michael Vick is returning to the NFL. Blech! He signed a 2-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. I just can’t believe it! As a dog lover (and owner), I’m upset. I feel sorry for you guys in Philly.

Poll #9

It’s been almost a month since I updated this blog (I’m not done with it, see last post). Just learned this morning that Paula Abdul is leaving “American Idol”.  Here’s our poll:

Will you continue to watch the show?

still here

Yes, I’m still alive. And no, we don’t have another virus.

Hey, that’s what I get for using Twitter, Facebook, DeviantArt and all that. The last time this blog was updated that was on June 17. It’s now July 7. Looks like I’ve neglected this blog. I’m sorry I haven’t posted comments on your blogs. You probably think I don’t care about you guys, but I do care! I still visit them.

On another note, we lost so many famous people in the past weeks like Ed McMahon (Star Search, Tonight Show), Farrah Fawcett (Charlie’s Angels), Billy Mays (OxiClean ads, Pitchmen on Discovery Channel, etc.) and we even lost the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. A big shock. Our condolences go out to their families and friends.

Like I said before, I’ve neglected this blog for a while. Maybe I lost interest in blogging, I don’t know. I’ve been blogging since 2006 and used WordPress since 2007. I use Twitter (been a user since March 2009) for little things and I may use this blog for big things.

Catch ya later.

Another season of “Idol” has come to an end. After nearly 100 million votes, Kris Allen (left) from Conway, Arkansas was crowned this year’s “American Idol” last night! Congrats, man! Also, congrats to Adam Lambert. He did an awesome job, too.

This is my last “Idol” post for the season. Later.

American Idol Top 2 – RECAP

Okay, it’s the last recap of the season! The final two performed at the Nokia Theater-L.A. Live last night. Here we go…

Round 1 – Personal Choice

  • Adam Lambert sang “Mad World”. Randy Jackson said the performance is an A+. Kara DioGuardi said he rocked it again. Paula Abdul said this is his moment. Simon Cowell said it’s a little bit over-theatrical. To me, he did an awesome job.
  • Kris Allen sang “Ain’t No Sunshine”. Randy said this is one of the best performances on stage. Kara said he has incredible skill. Paula said he awakened the spirit in all of us. Simon said he wasn’t sure that Kris will be in the top two, but said he took it all back. I said he did a very good job.

Round 2 – Producer Simon Fuller’s Choice

  • Adam Lambert sang “Change Is Gonna Come”. Randy said he can sing his face off. Kara said he showed both sides of himself. Paula said it’s “the best I ever heard you sing”. Simon said he is 100% back in the game. I agree with all four judges.
  • Kris Allen sang “What’s Going On?”. Randy said it’s a little bit light. Kara said she loved that the producer chose the song. Paula said he tore the song and made Marvin Gaye proud. Simon said it was too laid-back and it was like three friends jamming to Marvin Gaye. Pffft. To me, that was pretty good.

Round 3 – “No Boundaries” (song written by Kara)

  • Adam Lambert: Randy said it’s was alright and a bit pitchy. (Boo!) Kara said she’s very proud of him. Paula said it was remarkable. Simon said he’s one of the most original contestants “Idol’s” ever had. I agree with Paula, Kara and Simon. Shoot, he can sing anything. He did good.
  • Kris Allen: Randy said Kris should be very proud that he’s in the competition. He also said the song fits him. Kara applauds him on a incredible season. Paula said he did a compelling job. Simon said he thoroughly deserved this. Kris did good, too.
